Cool looking buses. I think PE had some that served on the Newport Beach line. If I remember correctly, the president of PE lived down there and wanted a nice bus to get him there swiftly from downtown LA.

In the "BUS WORLD ENCYCLOPEDIA OF BUSES" (Stauss) there is a nice photo of a UP PD-4101, restored by "Eastshore Falcon Lines"...........truly an IMPRESSIVE, historic bus...... Very Happy

"REAR VIEW"..........

Recal lthe original YELLOW GM "PD""/PG" type coaches; the rounded rear ends of these bug buses were clearly inspired by that used on the FLXIBLE "Clipper".

However, there WERE differences;in particularly the rear ends of the "PG"/"PD"-types, which featured illuminated drumheads, which the "Clippers" did not have.

PSNJ rostered a number of these tough=looking buses,backin the day.......

Buses looked better when they were "tough looking!" The sissy-looking buses of today with the slanted-eye headlights suck!
