Besudes the B&QT's Delancey Street terminal, there was one another underground trolley station in New York; this was the Manhattan terminal of the QBRy, which ended service in 1957.
As can be seen by these photos, this terminal was also used by buses..........

As I had mentioned earlier, PCCs did not run on the B&QT routes that served the Delancey Street terminal, via the "Willy B".
The only time PCCs were seen either on the bridge orat Delancey Street was when they operated a fantrip..............

Here is a rare photo of an 8000-series Peter Witt awaiting Brooklyn-bound passengers at the underground Delancey Street terminak, circa-1946.
Direct transfers to the BMT were made on the ame level as the streetcars..

Cyberider:
That WAS a TYPO on my part....oops!(!!)
The MACK seen in that photo was indeed a sign of things to come; it would not be long until there would no longer be streetcars at the Williamsburg Bridge Plaza.
As I had mentioned earlier, PCCs did not serve any of the routes that converged here.
Trolleybuses eventually DID serve this busy transf erfacility. but they were gone by 1960........

PCC "wings"..............
As delivered, all B&QT PCCs featured headlight wings.
However, over the years, some cars had them removed, but were later replaced.
Some cars had the wings removed, but never replaced.
Still other cars retained their wings until they were retired in 1956..............
