W.B.:

Good connection! Wink

Once again, it is IMPOSSIBLE to link the "Boulevardiers" of today with the legendary "Iron Men" team of many decades ago............ Sad

"Hoid"on 1010 WINS earlier today.................

A "biopic" is now in the works on the life and career of the great Lou Gjerig.

A sound clip was also played, the one in which Mr. Gherig announced to the world in front of a battery of radio mikes, that he was "the luckiest man on the face of the earth". up at Yankee Stadium

NO PLAYER today, on ANY team, has even an OUNCE of the GUTS and DIGNITY that Mr. Gherig exhibited that long-ago, never-to-be-forgotten, somber day up in "da Bronx"............

The "Broo-ers' " win against the Mets was the proverbial "squeaker," so it's not like they walked all over 'em . . . still, you wanna talk about volatile pendula and see-saws? The Mets are Exhibit A of that.

Baseball "nooze"..........

Both local teamsare are in action tonight;the Mets are back in "Eye-re-Tee" territory, facing off with the "Dodj-ers"; as "El Ay" has proven themselves as a VEYY formidable team, tonight's game is going to be QUITE interesting, to say the least........... Rolling Eyes

Why even make the comment.....?

On 1010 WINS earlier, our Commander-in-Chief made a comment on the Mets......

''''I like baseball......I like baseball.....the Mets have the highest payroll of any team, and all they do is lose......."

Like the "Boulvardiers" aren't grossly overpaid, and haven't lost a game in several months.....(!!) Razz

Our "See-in-See" had visited the "Boulevardiers' " clubhouse late last year, and until recently they have been winning regularly like nobody's business - a contrast to the "coyce" on the Mets since "Hizzoner" hugged Mr. and Mrs. Met in the Citi Field clubhouse.

"Noo Yawk" baseball "nooze" for Friday.................

Guess which team WON, and guess which team LOST.......'nuff said....... Sad

For sure, the "AYF" contingent are, as we speak, sharpening their glistening fangs for the attack...... Sad

"NYO"

(As the "Dod-jers"one, could it possibly be that the still-tangible "Spirit of Flatbush" has come back for revenge......or the "coyce" stemming from Hizzoner's infamous embrace?)
