Battery electric buses have (forgive the electrical pun) positive and negative aspects.
They don't produce tailpipe emissions but they have other challenges.

When PSNJ operated dual-powered trolleybuses (1935-1948), the vehicles were referred to by PS drivers and mechanic as "juice buggies"....... Wink
