Thanks to RayPa of Flickr, another Green Line (NY) gem has shown up and is enjoying its third life!
Seen below is fleet # 251 - a 1959 GM Coach Model TDH 5106 operating for Indiana University of Indiana, Pennsylvania.
# 251 was originally purchased as # 159 and was one of ten likenesses numbered 151 to 160 operating for Green Bus Lines, Inc. of Jamaica, New York.
The introduction of GM's 'New Look' line in late 1959 meant a rather early retirement for these buses which were sold off in the mid sixties mostly to midwest operators but with three numbered 156, 159 and 160 going to the Philadelphia Suburban Transportation Company's Red Arrow Division (and renumbered 250, 251 and 252 respectively) for use on their Route 44 Ardmore to Philadelphia Express.
After #251's retirement from Red Arrow, the University bought it as a local shuttle for students.
As Ray said; "Nice to see that it lived out it's twilight years in a nice place".
Unfortunately, # 251's two sisters were less lucky with # 250 ready for the junk yard in 1981 and 252 on its last legs as seen in the two lower frames below.
