To all who are interested:

I have been the present owner of former Harran Transportation #569, a 1983 MCI MC9, since June 20, 2007. Her current home is Wheeling, WV. She is being lovingly cared for by me and my friends as she creates new and everlasting memories for us. We plan to baby her and improve her as she gets older. She is so cool! If you have any questons about her, I will answer anything I can. You folks probably know more about her history than I do. If I knew how to post a darn pic, I would.

ojgetaway32,

When you say your MC9 is 'cool', do you mean that the air conditioning still works? (only kidding!).

Congratulations are in order; I believe you are one of very few BusTalk members that actually owns a vintage coach - enjoy it in good health and, by all means, share your experiences with us.

Welcome aboard!

Ojgetaway32: I echo my friend Mr. Lindsky's welcoming remarks. Tomorrow evening (Monday 3/15) I will be passing sister Harran 565 that is now owned by a church in Wyandanch, NY about 3 miles from Harran's West Babylon Yard.

If I can remember to bring my camera I can get a picture or two since we are now in Dalight Savings Time.

Perhaps if you have a picture of your bus, we can make a Gallery with a title like "Harran, where are they now ?" for current pictures of their old equipment. Unfortunately as discussed in another thread, one of their Prevosts was bought by a small operator and now looks like garbage.

Again, WELCOME ABOARD, and remember no slow speed chases!!!!!!! Very Happy

I have a couple pics. I would love to post them but I just don't know how. When I try, it always says "File too Large"

BTW, I used to drive a white Ford Bronco!

Due to the hurricane force wind and rain received here on Long Island from Saturday through Sunday, I am hoping to get those pictures tomorrow. My client, a retail store on the South Shore of Long Island has been without power from Saturday at 1 PM until now, a period of 45 hours, and still no projection as to when the juice will come back.
