I have been having problems of late, posting...after I click submit, I get some sort of error message 'debug mode', and if I try to re enter, I get duplicate posts...what is going on?

traildriver:

I see I'm not the only one getting this message!

I have NO idea what this is all about, or, what is causing it (this has been the case for the past two weeks, at least)

What I do, after finishing a post, is, first click "submit"; when I get that "debug" message, I then go back, click on the link for the thread that I want to post it.

That always works! Wink (hope this helps!)

Morristown, NJ, IS indeed a strange place to find a classic PRR Pullman (this handsome car was snapped back in 1990!).......

My experience: If I walk away with that Debug screen, the post has been or will soon be posted. Ten minutes later, I close the browser. Joe

Here's the smart-looking PRR "BIRCH FALLS", seen at Chicago, in 1964 (also the same year in which the "Fab Four" to the USA by storm!) Very Happy

A reminder of the days (1964) when through NKP sleepers (via Buffalo) still ran over the E-L to Hoboken........

UP's passenger equipment was always particularly eye-catching; here, in 1968, we see Pullman "PACIFIC SLOPE" at Portland, Oregon.......

A most formidable vehicle indeed was SOUTHERN's heavyweight Pullman "CLOVER PASTURE", seen here in 1964.......

From: "THE CARS OF PULLMAN" (Welsh/Howes/Holland).......

"......with Pullman operating a system of sleeping cars that were set out or picked up by through trains at various intermediate locations around the country, it was inevitable that the company had issues to manage at the end of the line......."

".........the destinations for set-out cars were diverse and often remote. At backwoods layover points (such as Oil City, Pa, or at any of a hundred other like locations that lacked a Pullman organization), the set-out car would lay over by itself......"

".........the Pullman car's porter slept on the car, and received a stipend for cleaning it, when no other staff was available......"

traildriver/Joe:

Though the LIRR didn't roster a fleet of Pullmans, they DID, until fairly recent times, operate a diverse and classic fleet of parlor cars, which, of course, required the services of smartly-uniformed attendance.

This was, indeed, a colorful and diverse fleet, comprising of both heavyweight and lightweight equipment (sadly, this colorful era of commuting is now long, long gone)

Over the years, these cars were purchased from the following railroads

NYC

DLW

E-L

FEC

NH

B&O

PRR

PC

UP

BANGOR & AROOSTOCK

There is much here to keep you busy here (GREAT collection of photos!) for quite awhile.....enjoy!Wink
