We know that Public Service Coordinate operated many unusual buses over the years. Here is one of them...

This is a Highway Product "Twin Coach" model TC-31 fleet number 8458. It appears to be a single door job. It was bought by the DOT and leased to Public Service. It was based at the Turnerville Garage of the Southern Division and it operated on either of two routes: UU-Lindenwold-Gloucester Township to Echelon Mall or route KK-Haddonfield-Lindenwold.

Note the second photo has the TNJ emblem on the "wings"

Enjoy!

VERY rare photos, to say the least! Shocked

NEVER knew that PS/TNJ ever operated these rare little gems!

Though I never knew these particular buses, I DO recall the same models in use in the mid-70's, in the Orange, NJ, area.

I did see them a number of times, but never got to ride one of these unique little buses.

I cannot, however, for the life of me, remember the company that was running them.

"GARDEN STATE COACHWAYS" (later purchased by the NJDOT) of Bridgeton, N.J., operated the TC-25's beginning in early 1973........

Only one was leased to Public Service.

....thanks for this info.

The few I recall ever seeing was in the Orange area, about 1974.

I cannot remember, as I said earlier, what company ran these buses; I do remember seeing one parked by the E-L's Orange station.

I wish I had gotten to ride one of these "oddball" buses at least once.....
