Here are a few photos of street cars from the predicessor of the Reading Bus Co., the Reading Street Railway. These are presented in no particular order since most are not dated and have little information included.
These photos are from a public posting on Facebook by "Go ReadingBerks"
First is a view of the Reading side of the Penn Street Bridge, then known as the Penn Street Viaduct. Date unknown.

On a personal note, about 1975 there was a sniper on the roof of one of the bay window buildings shown who was shooting at vehicles on the bridge. At the time I was an evidence technician for the Reading P.D. and was assigned this case. They actually had a fire dept. snorkel truck sent to the scene to take me up to the roof to collect shell casings! that was fun.
Car # 77 is shown at 6th and Penn Sts. in this 1945 photo.

Here we have a horse drawn car, brought out of retirement for Reading's 175th anniversary celebration in 1923. This car has been preserved and is at the Historical Society of Berks County in Reading.
