I drove from Central NJ to Richmond VA this weekend.
En route on I-95 I had the chance to see lots of buses in action.
Probably the most noteworthy info is the large number of Prevosts and Van Hools. Greyhound and subsidiary Bolt Bus run lots of Prevost X3-45's. Bolt has some MCI D4500's painted in their sharp black and red livery. Peter Pan still uses all MCI's (D's and J's). The Chinatown carriers seem to favor Van Hool C2045's. Years ago, on a trip such as this one, one would see mostly MCI's, but that is not the case anymore. Thanks to Greyound, Prevosts have become very common sights in line service. Now the MTA will be running X3-45's in express service.

The budget carriers favor the Van Hool because it costs a lot less than an MCI or Prevost......

It's hard for me to associate Greyhound and Prevost.
I suppose it was like this years back when Greyhound left GM for MCI.

Concur about the matter of early sightings of M C I coaches in (US) GREYHOUND service. I suppose if a rider asked
about the "new bus", the driver knew to note the company was building its own equipment...
