"The main objective of this « call of interest » is to better know the international market for electric buses and receive proposals from companies that could possibly provide such a type of bus, and this, in order to familiarize ourselves and evaluate this technology in a specific urban context and climate than the city of Laval, as part of a framework of an experimental project The vehicle must be available for use or under development, and be delivered no later than November 1st, 2011"

We're all febrile to see those buses as early as possible in the streets of Laval, but also remain cautious because this is an exploratory project that however we believe, realistic. It remains to be seen if a manufacturer can meet the expectations of the STL and of those users.

1. Autonomy required for this pilot electric bus must be beyond 150 km, including air conditioning or heating, without the need for recharging.
2. The slow cooldown should not exceed 4 hours for a full charge.
3. The project vehicle should be a low-floor vehicle with a length of about 12 m.
4. The maximum speed must be greater than 60 km / h.
