Has anyone received the latest issue of Motor Coach Age on Rockland Coaches dated October 2008. It's been four months since the last issue came out.

Are there any problems associated with the Motor Bus Society at this time that I am not aware of?

If anyone has an answer, let me know.

Stalwart,

I have not received the Rockland Coaches issue to date but, in my case, it's meaningless because they send my copies via Wells Fargo stage coach (or they walk them across to L.A.)!

I have been in close contact with Eli Bail on a Jamaica Buses project and he is working feverishly on that as well as what's due immediately.

I'll let you know if I can find out more about Rockland.

In the meantime, drop them an email if you are still concerned.

Regards,

Mr. 'L'

Mr. Linsky,

I've sent them an e-mail back in February on an issue that arrived late, and another e-mail about a week ago, but for a different reason.
Unfortunately, I have not gotten back a reply from them on both e-mails.

We're both in a similar predicament since my issues get sent to the Phoenix Metro Area; and since Phoenix and L.A. are in the western U.S., it's like Pony Express or Wells Fargo as you said.

I have not received this issue. If I recall correctly, the last issue I received was the one about Gold Coast Transit in California.

Any MCA delivery issues are the fault of the U.S. Postal Service, not the society. I've had my issue arrive a week or more later here in New York compared to friends in neighboring Massachusetts.

I've asked the Society for First Class delivery to me for which I would be happy to pay extra but they said that it becomes too involved for them.

One thing that we all have to be mindful of is the fact that these fellows volunteer their precious time and devotion to producing these marvelous collectors editions and we have to give them many kudos for their toils as well as a great deal of latitude in these matters.

Regards to all,

Mr. 'L'

From what I've been told, several technical matters have delayed the Rockload Coaches part 1 issue - it is due to be mailed any day now.

How about the latest word on the January-March 2009 issue on Yosemite Buses, since it was to be sent out in early November. I was wondering if anyone received it yet.

The key word here is 'delay'! after delay, after delay! - I'll bet that Boeing gets the 787 running before we get the next copy of MCA!

Most of you people are lucky - I get my copies delivered to L.A. by gondola through the Panama Canal - and if that's too busy, down around Cape Horn! (at least that's what it seems like!).

I'll check with Eli and get back to you (he only receives 'fourth class' mail so it'll take a few weeks!

Actually Mr. Linsky, somebody posted a roster on the Yosemite Transit System on the CPTDB website from the latest issue, as a preview of what's to come about a few days ago.
It should be anyday that i'll get the issue.
As you may remember, I get my issues delivered to the Phoenix Metro Area.

Well, now it's going to be a question of how long it takes to walk from Phoenix to L.A.!

You know; I only kid about the Motor Bus Society - I understand their problems and what it takes to put out a magazine as good as Motor Coach Age is and I feel that it's well worth the wait!

If I could help them speed things up, I would.

Well, count me out!;

I'm still 'waiting on the levee for the Robert E. Lee' to delivery my copy!

That's all right though because I've just received three mint condition MCA's through eBay including Highway Post Offices (May 79), Twin Coach (May-June 73) and Santa Cruz (March 79) which should keep me busy for a good while.
