Found this little 'cutie pie bus' on eBay in a photo taken in 1987 as it toiled as a Broadway Parking Shuttle in Oakland, California for AC Transit.
A little history;
In 1973, AC Transit removed a section of aging fleet number 708 - a 1961 TDH 4517 - to create an experimental 18 passenger 29-foot short bus for use in its new Richmond Dial-a-Ride service. Happy with the result, they rebuilt the rest of the series, creating 13 of these shortened buses and during their long careers they served in six different paint schemes and many jobs including the Downtown Oakland Shuttle.
# 708 has been preserved by Scott Richards of Regional Transit in Riverside, Ca.
