For "soitan", Mr. Fischler can FINALLY lay off chuggin' the ol' Maalox, until next hockey season......... Wink

A revelation..........

It just dawned on me last night; for the past several years, I've been rooting for the Mets for the TEAM NAME ONLY; always rooting for "underdogs" has long been a trademark for Your's Trulu

Just as how, for me, the "YANKEE"name conjurs up larger-than-life images of the "Iron Men"of long ago, and NO CONNECTION to the current arrogant lineup whatsoever

Like the "classic era" Yankees, the "classic era" Mets are now but fond memories, recalling an exciting,long-lost era in 'Noo Yawk" baseball.

Too, recall both home teams now call a "SINO" home; both the original, storied Yankee Stadium to the fabled Sheaare now but memories.

'taint the same.............. Sad

This is true, sadly, with other sports teams, and not just in baseball. Same thing with the stadia they play in.

W.B.:

I think it goes without saying, that, NOT ONE of today's grossly-pverpaid, prima-donna "Noo Yawl tram players ("PINOs"="Players In Name Only") has even an molecule of the steel guts that made both Lou Gherig and Jackie Robinson the humble and brave men they both were.

INHO, there is not ONE modern-day "YINO" or "AINO" who could even HOPE to hold a candle to the true "Iron Men" of so many decades ago.....

And the unrelenting bloodbath continues unabated (Friday)...........

The rapidly-declining "AINO" are getting CLOBBERED and BASHED without mercy by the Cubs.....NOW, I'm wondering IF there could be some insidious "coyse" that has been inflicted upon the Mets.......that, and obviously slipshod, hapless "PINO" performances and clueless management....well, it all constitutes one EMBARRASSING and PATHETIC disaster.........Confused Embarassed Embarassed

Meanwhile, the "YINOs" play later this evening (2026 postseason for the "AINO" is now looking less and less likely, with each game lost........it's all getting pretty ugly, for 'soitan")........

"NYO"

(UPDATE: NINTH STRAIGHT LOSS FOR THE "AINO'"}

Baring their collective fangs (again).........

As the ever-arrogant "YINOs "just beat "Kay-See", the old saying "adding insult to injury" is indeed now coming to mind, as the ever-rabid, highly-obnoxious "AYF" brigade will now be lording it over the die-hard Mets fans, who have just lost NONE games straight.

It's getting uglier.....and more and pathetic, all around......so much for good sportsmanship........ Sad

Meanwhile, tonight the NBA Playoffs kick off with the "Ka-nikker-bockers" against the Atlanta Hawks. No doubt against all odds, though today's lot are not of the caliber of Clyde or DeBusschere or Reed or Bradley (and so on), they managed to get themselves a playoff berth, while for "doze Nets" it's once again "wait till next year."

Oh, and "doze tin men from da Bronx," nonetheless, CLOBBERED "Kay-See" once again. And the "AYF's" fangs are once again being sharpened, as the once-"Amazin's" lost AGAIN to another set of onetime "lovable losers" - the Cubbies, in "Shik-aga." (The Mets' record, inexplicably, is exactly identical to that of the Royals at this point - 7-14. Truly pathetic.)

W.B.;

I was already informed of today's "Noo Yawk" baseball scores, courtesy of 1010 WINS; WHY could the "AINO" win at least ONE game, to ward off a rabid attack by vicious "AYFs"?

10 STRAIGHT LOSSES for the Mets??!?!?!?

I'm beginning to think now that someone (most likely am especially vicious-minded "AYF") consulted some some sort of expert of the occult, and had a MAJOR-LEAGUE (pun intended) hex inflicted upon the Mets?

IMHO, the Mets should, at this point, call it quits until 2027.....and end the unrelenting bloodbath continues... Sad

It's been said that the Mets have been "coyced" since the old Shea Stadium was demolished and their new ballpark was named "Citi Field." Some have said the way it was built has put them at a disadvantage.

W.B.:

I TOTALLY agree with this 100%; once the hallowed Shea was (senselessly) demolished, and the iconic "SMEEs" departed the #7 line, the Mets, indeed, have hit far too many drawn-out slumps and lengthy rough patches, during the enduing years (just read that Mets fans are now up in arms, screaming "FIRE EVERYONE!!".....when the FANS have had more than enough of multiple losses, well, it tends to get pretty ugly)........... Sad

Brief "Noo Yawk" baseball update (Sunday)..........

Make it ELEVEN STRAIGHT LOSSES for the "AINOs" (they lost again to the "Cubbies" in a less-than-dramatic "squeaker". Sad

Meanwhile, the "YINOs" are in FULL ATTACK mode up in "da Bronx"........The "AYF" brigade must be foaming at the mouth, this evening.......from what I hear, even the most die-hard Mets fans are now clamoring for a FULL "clean sweep" of the team.

No end in sight fror the toxic bloodbath continually afflicting the battered and bruised "Boyz From Queens"................ Sad

At least, in the "En-Bee-Yay" playoffs, "doze ka-Nikker-bockers" won Game 1 of their round, no doubt the animated "Globetrotters" were giving encouragement from the sidelines. More than could be said for the sorry state of baseball these days . . .

W.B.:

Agreed!

"Doze animated Globetrotters are obviously "woikin' their magic" with the "Kan-nikkker-bokkers!" Very Happy

Given the fact that that the "YINOs" are ridin' high, looks like "Uncle Hoiman" and "Katnip" must not be having any difficulty in getting up to "da Bronx" via the "Eye-Are-Tee"! Wink

As for the "AINO"......looks like there are no animated "cheering squad" on their side, cheering them on.....not even Charlie Brown's All-Stars.....(!!) Embarassed

Ahhh, well......
