Earlier this afternoon I was near the Bee Line facility in Hawthorne and saw a Bee Line Bus Orion VII. Believe the number was 205. Did not have a camera so was not able to take a photo. |

Earlier today on the #6, saw another Orion VII on North Broadway in White Plains. It was number 209. |

Prevailing rumor is that the Orion VIIs are coming to the MTA along with the 400-series Orion Vs. |

Are you saying that the buses are coming as part of the MTA order? |

205 and 209 are NABIs. There are currently being delivered and are/will be numbered 205-299. 201-204 are Orion VIIs

Thanks for the information. Wow they are NABI's? They look so much like Orion VII's. Couldn't tell the difference but then again they were on the move and so was I and in different directions. What are the differeneces in appearance of the buses? Does anyone have photos of the NABI's?
With that size order, what are they doing, replacing the entire fleet again? No wonder taxes are so high in Westchester. |

Whoops; I wasn't paying attention to the bus number. #201-204 are Orion VIIs and may be sold to MTA Bus. |

That must be new... I was under the impression that the 400 series Orions were being sold to MTA Bus; Westchester only bought the Orion VII hybrids within the past couple of years, so why would the sell them off that quickly? |

The Orion VIIs are oddballs. Again, this is an unsubstantiated rumor, but it makes sense. |

Were the Orion hybrids purchased with federal funding? If so, that might complicate such a sale. |

If you can translate this, it would appear they are New York State funded, not federal:
100% SDF/NYSERDA
For the record they cost $569,569.26 each.
