W.B.:

Agreed.

Eating "humble pie" indeed cannot be an easy task, when you're a cutthroat "AYF", only used to "dishing it it". Rolling Eyes

TOTALLY impossible to "connect" what passes for "Noo Yawk"baseball these days, with the performances of the larger-than-life "Iron Men" of so many decades ago.

The "YINOs", like the "Amazins'", have now lost FIVE straight games; the "Amazins''" not surprisingly, were roundly "booed" off-field.

"NYO"

Footnote:

The "Eye-landers" and the "Rayn-Jers", along with the "Ka-nikker-bokers". ALL were defeated today. Seems "Noo Yawk"is experiencing QUITE a rough patch, for sure ,as of late)

Last night the "YINO's" won in a "squeaker" while the of-late-anything-but-"Amazin's" lost again (and to the "Traffic Dodgers" out in "El-Lay," yet), thus the "AYF's" were once again enabled to further sharpen their fangs and rub it all in.

W.B.:

Anyone of us hoping (make that PRAYING) for the "Less-than-Amazins'" to FINALLY snap their five-game losing streak, saw their prayers going unheeded. Sad

Had the "YINOs" also lost, at least the "AYFs" would have not had reason (or excuse) to launch into full attack mode, once again. Sad

Just as we cannot "connect" today's "YINOs" with the legendary "Boulevadiers from da Bronx" of many years ago, we cannot "connect" the Mets of the 2020s with the team of long ago, when "Blueboids" still held down runs on the #7, and the hallowed Shea still stood.........

"NYO"

BTW:

On Eyewittness News last evening, with little prompting, anchor Bill Ritter (for the first time in quite awhile), launched into his trademark "Allllll Riiiiise" when a clip of Aaron Judge on the field came up..........Rolling Eyes

So far, the "YINO's" are losing to "doze Angels in the outfield," to such an extent that they ain't even on the scoreboard. Hope and pray another loss to take the "AYF's" down a notch in the "humility" belt.

The "AINO's" ("Amazin's" in name only) go against the "Dahd-jers" at 10:10 tonight.

W.B.:

Just had checked the latest scores; NOW, if the "YINOs" lose tonight, after winning only ONE game, well, then, even if the "AINOs" lose, the "AFY" brigade STILL have nothing to crow about.

Just hoping that"doze boys from Queens truly AMAZE us later with the first WIN in AGES! Wink

UPDATE (2)..........

Good thing that the "YINOs" lost AGAIN last night (after the FIRST win in days); the "AINOs" just LOST their SEVENTH STRAIGHT GAME in a ROW!!!!!!!!!!! Sad Evil or Very Mad

(talk about slipshodl performancse and far-too-casual management)

IMHO, a THOROUGH HOUSECLEANING is LONG overdue for BOTH teams (management AND players)......"YINO" and "AINO" fans are getting pretty dang hot under the collar with all of these multiple losses, and understandably so.

Looks like its gonna be a looooooooooooooooonh 2026 season, for sure........... Sad

"NYO"

(At least "Charlie Brown's 'All Stars' were SUPPOSED to be AMUSING!)
