In this 1958 sci-fi flick, Ottawa, in the path of a renegade missile from outer space, has buses featured in several sequences.

There are a number of great shots of Ottawa buses, including Old Looks, CCF-BRILLS, and FORDS.

There are also a number of Civil Defense film clips from New York "spliced" into the story; here we see a number of Old Looks and MACKS (SURFACE)

There are also a few fuzzy pre-1954 scenes where FACCo "Queen Mary" double-deckers are seen pulled over.

I have this film on dvd (it was often shown on television, many, many years back), and, of course, I always greatly enjoy seeing the classic buses which were once so commonplace.

CROWN school buses are also featured.................

Cyberrider:

If you go to https://www.imcdb.org/movie_51881-The-Lost-Missile.html , you'll get a page with a gallery of photos of different vehicles from the film (there are some really good ones of the buses, both in Ottawa and New York!)

There are also hundreds of bus photos (from hundreds of films, both old and recent) of virtually any type of bus you can imagine, on this exhaustive site! Wink

Ottawa............

Interestingly, Ottawa's trolleybuses (built by CCF-BRILL) ran for less than eight years; this was the shortest lifespan for any North American trolleybus system.

In 1959, Ottawa's streetcars (like the trolleybuses) were replaced by diesel buses..........

Check out these beautifully restored historic buses from Ottawa (these are REAL buses and NOT giant milk cartons or mutated insects!) Shocked

These vintage buses are indeed true CLASSICS............ Wink
