Recall the classic film, "REAR WINDOW"?
This (undated) vintage photo gives us an interesting view which shows the different contours of different EAGLE models (the "Buffalo" is, indeed, the "odd bus out"!)

Now here's a REALLY rare "Big Red" view, taken at the Denver garage, many years ago (what a fantastic historic bus collection these coaches would have made today!)

Great shot, thanks for posting!🙂
I worked there between January of 1974 thru June of 1979.
When I came there, those two articulated Kassbohrer Galenke’s were still parked there, out of service. The red one was lettered: “Fort Carson Express”, and the green one was the “Academy Express” for the USAFA.
Noticed one of the few remaining PD-4104’s, or as we called them “Air-ride’s”.
In the back row is one of the early Golden Eagle’s, with the six piece windshield. There were also a few “Clipper Eagle’s” (Flx Hi-Leel’s) around when I first got there… |

You are QUITE welcome!
Truly sad that neither of the early artics were set aside for preservation; they indeed looked quite "continental" (pardon the pun!) and would have looked quite at hoe rolling along virtually any European motorway!
Recall, also, the one-of-a-kind KAISER articulated built for TRAILWAYS in 1946; it was only in service for several years, before being retired, in 1951.
It had been operated by both SANTA FE TRAILWAYS and CONTINENTAL (info fro "TRAILWAY BUSES"; William A. Luke)
Then, too, were the "Magnificent Four" Golden Eagle artics of the late 50's; later on, they ran between LA and San Francisco........

This has to be one of the RAREST vintage "Big Red" photos; you do not find too many photos showing a classic EAGLE alongside an Old Look transit!
Man, this timeless, long-ago scene truly OOZES nostalgia!!!

traildriver:
If this is Chicago, any clue as to who operated the Old Look?
I know that, back in the day, there were a number of suburban/"indy" companies serving Chicago.
Perhaps GLENVIEW BUS COMPANY, or EVANSTON BUS COMPANY?

I don't know the answer to that. I can't recall any such companies operating out of the Chicago Terminal, however that alley between the terminal and the Chicago Theater is a public one, so anyone could pass thru it, or perhaps unload there. |

You're the guy for this:
Did GREYHOUND and TRAILWAYS have dormitories for their drivers adjacent to the terminals (in Chicago), or, were these at some other location?
Also, how long a layover would a "long-haul" driver have before heading out on the road again?
Thanks again...

Also, where did GREYHOUND and TRAILWAYS have their yards/service facilities in Chicago?
