Regarding the "GREYHOUND PACIFIC" trailer bus in the previous post.
Where* did this unique vehicle operate?
What route(s)?
The name "GREYHOUND PACIFIC" also caught my eye......
"NYO"
*The left-hand door might provide a clue; perhaps this vehicle operated in Australia?

Recall, also, the "trailer buses" GREYHOUND used during the 1933 World's Fair in Chicago.......

Nice catch...I haven't seen those before either. Could be from Australia, but my guess is that perhaps Pacific Greyhound might have built them in-house, similar to that Kaiser articulated, and Santa Fe Trailways 'Victory Liner', both one-off's that were built during World War II to haul defense factory workers...just a guess... |

My hunch was correct; this unusual "Hound"* was built in Australia (hauled by a WHITE tractor), and ran until 1972!
Photo and a small story, here......

Nice job! I've never seen that before. Looks like Western Flyer built a "Flxible Vista-Liner wannabe"
The "legal's" state that it's owned by a Manitoba transit museum or something. I wonder if Greyhound of Canada actually owned that or similar at one time, and took liberties calling it a 'Scenic Cruiser'. At the time, the Western Canadian Greyhound was not fully owned by the Greyhound Corporation, but only a minority share IIRC...and I seriously doubt if they would allocate any of their flagship, 'real' PD-4501 Scenicruiser's to their Canadian affiliate. So maybe WF built this to emulate them... |

Thanks!
Appreciate the compliment!
Maybe all the "Sherlock Holes" stories I've read over the years influenced me a bit.....

My pleasure; I never saw these buses either!
The "Vista-Liner" wannabe reminds me a lot of a circa-1960 Japanese tin-litho "Scenicruiser", where artistic liberties were clearly taken!
I have MANY tin two-axle "Scenicruisers" in my collection.
Oddly enough, I DO have a (circa-1960) red tin-friction Scenicruiser (its basic body was used for many tin litho buses of that day) in my collection that has "GOLDEN EAGLE" on its sides, as well as "HIGHWAY LINER"!

Not a "Hound" from "North Of The Border", this time around, but a "Goose" (and a quite stylish one, at that!)

*Trivia note:
"GREY GOOSE" was a long-established Manitoba bus company headquartered in Winnipeg.
Beginning in 1962, the company purchased several PREVOST "Panoramique" buses.......
