This scene at Yankee Stadium appears to be after a Giant's game due to the overcoats.

Surface Transportation GM TDH-4507 and TD-4502. Is that a Carey Transportation Flxible Clipper way in the back?

The second photo is after a Yankee game based on the clothing of the fans.

I see Surface Transportation GM TDH-4507 and TD-4502. The rear end of a Martz ACF-Brill IC-41. As well as some AeroCoach under the Coca-Cola sign.

Not the Shea Stadium parking lot but directly across the street is the parking lot for the Flushing depot (now Casey Stengle Depot) we see it here in use for the World's Fair.

You either came by one of these buses or you took the IRT's Bluebird subway cars of the #7 Flushing Line.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shocked Shocked Shocked

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shocked Shocked Shocked

THOSE PICTURES ARE BEYOND OUTSTANDING!!!!!! Very Happy Very Happy

THANK YOU for sharing these INCREDIBLE old pics; what a bus-enthusiast's paradise!!!! Very Happy

Ironically, I have a small tabletop diorama display, that features a "Department 56" Yankee Stadium, with a "busy" bus transfer point out front, utilizing four CORGI die-cast Old Looks (SURFACE/FACCo/MADISON AVE/TA) and this little display evokes the spirit of your great photos to a "T"! Wink (there's also an IRT kiosk!)

Man, if I could only go back in time, and SEE, HEAR, and SMELL all of those classic buses!!!

Talk about CLASSIC!!!

Thanks again for sharing thee AWESOME old scenes........ Wink

At least THIS time around, they were on the scoreboard.

They HAVE to win a game SOMETIME! Rolling Eyes

*On the flip side, the Yankees have been like an out-of-control steamroller, winning at least 11 games as of today; I guess we should be happy that at least ONE "Noo Yawk" team is doing quite well! Wink

Thank you Mabstoa 15 for posting that cool photo of Shea's parking lot with the MV 620 D being first in line. What a pleasure to see this classic bus.

Hart Bus:

And to think, on that long-ago day at Shea, when this now-classic photo was snapped, that unique bus was still quite a stretch away from being classified as a HISTORIC vehicle! Shocked

Imagine seeing a historic bus rally that large today, with so much outstanding historic variety.....(!!) Wink

........I can recall seeing older "TRANS-BRIDGE" buses at the old "Veronica's Veil" Passion Play in Union City, where dozens of buses from the tri-state area congregated, back in the early and mid-1960's (this was only two blocks from the apartment house where Your's Truly then lived!)

I can even recall seeing YELLOW 743's and ACF-BRILL IC-41's parked along Central Avenue, as well as several side streets (note to mention Old Look suburbans and ACF-BRILL C-44's!)

In later years, Mom regretted never taking any photos of me with the buses....oh, well, at least I've got GREAT memories of CLASSIC buses.....(!!) Wink

.......the Mets have lost 11 out of the last 13 games (and I'm not all hopeful about tonight's game*, either) Sad

On Eyewitness News at 6PM, sportscaster Ryan Field showed the results of a survey taken, regarding the poor performance of the Mets as of late.

Roughly 50% of those survyed blamed the players, while about the same number laid blame with Luis Rojas.

It seemed few blamed the management.

It's like someone has indeed cast the "Evil Eye" on The Amazins, the past several weeks...... Sad

*The Mets lost ONCE AGAIN tonight (Friday), 3-2........ Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

....these days, when tuning into the latest report on a Mets game, all you hear is the all-too-familiar refrain :

".....the Mets are trailing....."

Yup, YET AGAIN, ONCE AGAIN, the Mets lost tonight (Saturday). Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad

IMHO, the Mets will TRULY be "Amazin" when they finally WIN a game (the last victory for the team was last Sunday)

This has NOT been a GOOD season for the Mets.....nor a good season for their perplexed, disgruntled, weary fans....... Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad
