Watching the other day and in one episode they used a Mc5 with a grant farebox. Also showed a Greyhound signed for LA in a highway scene.

Interesting...was it a Greyhound MC-5 with the farebox?

I recall when Greyhound ran some MC-6 Supercruiser's on the lowly San Diego to San Ysidro local via National City and Otay, and equipped them with fare boxes, although I don't know what kind they were...I recall them as being rather small and simple.

The reason they assigned these coaches to that unlikely route was the 102" width was still not legal on California freeways.

The Mc5 with the fare box was not greyhound. The greyhound was used to show that they were on the freeway. Just a shot of it on the road.

That is so typical of Hollywood...director's thinking no one would notice discrepancies in scene's. But then again, not many but enthusiasts, would care...
