I can only surmise that the reason why the MaBSTOA script lettering (not all that unusual except for where it was placed) was below the passenger side windows was the assumption that no ad racks would be on that side, that plus the batwings being in the way on the top. Remember, this was from the last 10 of the 1964-65 order; it wasn't until the 1965-66 order that the red-and-blue 'OA' insignia began to be installed on the front covers of the batwing assembly. I can also only presume that that whole set (5516-5525) started out lettered like that on the left side of the bus.

The batwing ads on 5516-5525 were add-ons placed over the standee windows. The roofline MABSTOA script were covered up by the ad racks.

And the 1965-66 order (6701-6900) with the batwings were the first to dispense with the standee windows.
