1) If you could start your own bus company, what would you name it?
Please include legal name and popular name
(eg. Green Bus Lines, Incorporated d/b/a Green Lines)
2) If your company operated an existing or defunct bus route, what would it be? Please note destinations and current operator
(eg. NYCT Q20 College Point <---> Jamaica) |

As I responded to this question on BT-2 the first question is a no brainer. It has to be THE GOTHAM BUS COMPANY Each bus would have to have a fleet number, but in keeping with the spirit of the old Qnexions (sp?) I who put girls names over the entrance door, I would put Ralph, Norton, Alice,
Trixie, Mrs. Manicotti, Freddie Muller-----you get the idea.
As to the route, it would either be the most profitable one in existence or I would do marketing surveys to determine what area are underserved and perhaps start a completely new route. |

Now, everyone is going to think I'd pick Green Bus Lines - WRONG!!!!
Ans. #1 Manhattan and Queens Bus Corporation d/b/a
Queens Boulevard Rapid Transit, operator
(those are two solid sounding names!).
Ans. #2 Q60 (now MTA Bus) 2nd. Avenue & 59th. St. Manhattan to
109the. Avenue and 157th. St. South Jamaica
I picked the Queens Boulevard line because it is (or was) one of the busiest and most profitable routes in Queens.
Mr. Linsky
'Manhattan & Queens Bus Corporation' |

The "Gaza Bus Company"
Takeover Q65A, short trips, very heavy ridership. Low overhead costs as bus is constantly in service. |

Er... with the demographics of the Q65A, do you think "Gaza" will fly? |

I'd call my bus line either Hennessey Lines, Inc. or N-TWEEZY Transit, Inc.(NTI).
The Route(s) it would run on is the Y9, W5, W7, W20, and the BxM4C.(Beeline/Liberty Lines/WCDOT- Operator).
The buses would be painted in a Dominican Flag paint style, and I'd have low profile tires, with custom Lexani rims on
There would be a large flat panel tv on the back wall of the bus, they would be wifi compatable, with nite rider lights on the front of the buses. Oh, I forgot, they will have spoilers, and a custom exaust tip on them. I like to spice things up a little
let me know wat you think! |
