Some pictures taken yesterday at the Van Cortlandt Park - 242 Street station in the Bronx. In addition to regular routes serving the station, shuttle service was being provided to get Metro North Hudson Line passengers around a freight train derailment near the Marble Hill station. Also, a few pictures taken near Broadway and 207 Street in the Inwood section of Manhattan.

Agreed on beautiful photos.

Always good to see two great operators working together!

Just a bit of levity though; on the NYC #6700 do passengers riding on the roof need to know that the bus is a Hybrid Electric?

Regards,

Mr. 'L'

It was placed there to give bus fans taking pictures from elevated platforms something interesting in their shot. Bee Line continued the stripes over the roof for the same reason. As for the passengers on the roof, if they touch a high voltage component, they will end up in the "hot" seat. Wink

Isn't that a warning to firemen or emergency workers? I wouldn't want them to suffer a charge.

It could be. The high voltage components are also labeled with a warning as well. See picture below.
