Thanks for sharing this. Judging by the license plate, this bus is owned by GBT and not by ConnDOT. In the past Bridgeport has written their own specs when piggybacking orders, so there may be some other differences from the state owned Xcelsiors in addition to the Luminator signs. Having worked on both types of signs, I prefer the Luminator Horizons, but the people from CT Transit who write the specs have a preference for Twin Vision.

i love the luminators too. they display the ct transit programmed signs way better than twinvision, though they take a while to load. also sometimes the twinvisions don't display the rear sign. but at the end of the day, i guess twinvision is cheaper. |

We have the same problem with the rear TwinVision signs. The issue is usually the cable connection at the rear sign. I've already replaced cables and rear sign boards on some of our Xcelsiors. The operator's control unit will also display cryptic messages the that driver cannot make sense of, so they will write it up as 'sign not working'. Of course, when the bus returns to the garage, everything is functioning normally.

Doubt it if all at once. They are based out of Stamford. |

Those anyone here knows how reliable are the artic buses in Stanford and New Haven??
Cuz it really seen that the Hartford ones are the worst in the fleet they cannot keep those buses out in the road for a week straight befored somenthing goes wrong with them, is like they are so unreliable they out in a run today and out of service for two days, i dont understand what could be so wrong with brand new buses. |

Its NovaBus first dab into the hybrid artic realm. There were deff no prototypes built. They put them on some of the stupidest trips like 36 Windsor Av. Thats crazy. Plus CT Transit are planning to run them to the ground, i mean run them, 7 days a week on ten runs. Ct Transit looking real cheap right now. Why no extra service on sundays. Just six more buses, getting rid of 88 half hour trips and replace with 88m n 88c hour trips and a couple 95 trips and 53 trips without going thru the Dmv-old wethersfield area can make so much difference. |
