Shown sometime in years past and languishing in the weeds of the Crawford Scrap Yards in Mifflin, Pennsylvania is a 1950 GM Coach Model TDH 4509 originally purchased by Green Bus Lines of Jamaica, New York and numbered 341.
# 341 along with ten of Green Line's 1949 TDH 4507's and fifteen of Triboro's 1948 TDH 4507's were sold to the Reading Bus Company of Reading, Pennsylvania sometime in the mid sixties.
The weather has played havoc with 341 to the point that you can now almost clearly see the Green Line flag over the passenger windows.
There are conflicting reports as to the fate of the many decommissioned buses stored at Crawford's with some saying they're long gone and others insisting that they still survive.
Anyway, may 341's soul rest in peace no matter where she is.

This photo well illustrates the so-called "paired window" arrangement used on GM Old Looks after 1948-1949. |
