Just picked up a Corgi "undecorated" Flxible Clipper from Diecast Direct. But... is it really undecorated (intentionally) or a factory mistake?
Consider these facts:
It was in a standard King Ward Clipper box. Same photo, same factory number (54209), same info card (about King Ward Lines) inside.
It had a limited edition number on the bottom (the way Corgi does it now), but there is no explanation anywhere that the number of models produced for the "undecorated" version is any different from the King Ward version.
So, are these 54209's a new version of the Clipper, or a is this a production run with a glaring mistake? Only YOU can decide. But, if you're a fan of factory errors like I am, then my advice is to get on it now! The price is right ($34.95 + shipping), and who knows when they'll be gone?! |
