Boy, am I going to have fun with this picture!
Here, at what was Jamaica Buses Baisley Park, Queens garage, we see a group of 1930 Twin Coach Model 40's lined up at the curb.
Now, you might think at first glance that they were right hand drives but that would be only because Twin designed them with rear clips that were identical to the fronts and, from a distance, no one (except the driver) really knew which way they were going!
These were Twin's very first and very successful 'street car' designs and featured underfloor amidships engines.
Spotted in the second row is at least one of Jamaica's later Twin Model 37 R's, and all of which were painted in very cheerful fire engine red with cream roofs.
The arched roof building in the background was the original Jamaica Central Railway car barn - the predecessor to Jamaica Buses.
Albeit a bit frazzled, this is one really rare image from the past.
